Each year Community Living Chatham-Kent donates a portion of the proceeds raised from the Food Truck Crawl Event to a worthy cause. The 2023 funds are being dedicated to R.O.C.K. in Chatham, and Wallaceburg.
R.O.C.K. (Reach Out Chatham-Kent) was founded in August of 2019. The locations in Chatham and Wallaceburg serve over seven-hundred (700) lunches every week.
“Community Living Chatham-Kent is proud to support these vital programs as they provide essential services and resources to vulnerable people in our community,” said Nicole Roeszler, Manager of Community Relations with CLC-K.
Jackie VanderLinden, Executive Lead with R.O.C.K., has been instrumental in assisting with directing the funds to the continued operations of the programs. “This donation will be used towards the purchase of food and hygiene products for the drop-in centres and outreach services. It helps us keep the doors open, and people nourished, which assists to build trust in hopes of connecting our friends to the resources they need.” Jackie added, “We are very grateful to Community Living Chatham-Kent for their generosity!”
