At Community Living Chatham-Kent, we recognize that privacy and protection of your personal information is important. Community Living Chatham-Kent will never sell, lease, or distribute publicly your personal information. By continuing to use our website, you signify your acceptance of this policy.

As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in log files. The information in the log files include your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as Rogers Communications or Bell Canada), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout our site.
Cookies and Web Beacons
DoubleClick DART cookies
We also may use DART cookies for ad serving through Google’s DoubleClick, which places a cookie on your computer when you are browsing the web and visit a site using DoubleClick advertising (including some Google AdSense advertisements). This cookie is used to serve ads specific to you and your interests (“interest based targeting”). The ads served will be targeted based on your previous browsing history (For example, if you have been viewing sites about visiting Lake Louise or Banff, you may see Lake Louise and Banff hotel advertisements when viewing a non-related site, such as on a site about hockey). DART uses “non personally identifiable information”. It does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, social insurance numbers, bank account numbers or credit card numbers. You can opt-out of this ad serving on all sites using this advertising by visiting http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx
You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.
Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.
Our staff registration section allows us to collect name, username, email address and password information from current staff to provide a website experience specific to our employees. This registration information is kept until termination of the employee.
The Contact Us Form on our website includes requests for name, email address and phone number (optional) in order to ensure prompt responses to any feedback.
Some event bookings require the collection of information such as name, address, phone number, etc. in order to ensure proper distribution of purchased or requested services (for example how many box lunch ordered to be delivered to an address.) Pay Pal may be used for purchase processing for things like event tickets. (See Pay Pal below).
We have a volunteer registration form hosted on the website. This form does not transmit information electronically. It is filled out and printed. Any information declared on the form is collected by our staff in our volunteer program to help match volunteer interests and availability with opportunities, and is part of the same on-boarding process that is applied for face-to-face registrations.
Third Party websites
Pay Pal – Some events require third party payment processing through Pay Pal. In these cases, Credit Card information may also be collected in order to process payment but is not kept or used beyond this purpose. A Pay Pal account is NOT required to make a purchase, however if a credit Card is registered to a Pay Pal account, then Pay Pal may require a user to sign in before processing for security reasons.
Better Impact – We use Better Impact for tracking Volunteer hours. Users who register with Better Impact will be subject to their Privacy Agreement and Terms of Service.
