We had been informed by the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit that if a person who resided in a residential home had a fever, the person was to immediately enter into self-isolation, and all staff were to wear full personal protective equipment.
On April 3rd, in the evening, a person residing in a residential home had a fever. The person immediately went into self-isolation, and all staff were wearing full personal protective equipment.
On April 4th, though his fever was not present, an effort was made to take him for testing, however, he was agitated and not cooperative.
Does this person have COVID-19? We do not know.
Does this person not have COVID-19? We do not know.
Therefore, we are following the guidelines as set out by the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit.
