**REGARDING FAMILY MEMBERS OF PEOPLE WE SUPPORT IN RESIDENTIAL HOMES**
Family members who have not travelled or been in contact with people who have been in affected areas may take their family member out of the homes. They do not come into the homes, we would take the person and their belongings out. When the person returns home, family members do not enter the home. We will then ask the family, the questions from the handout, to determine if the person supported can come back into their home. This procedure should be discussed with the family before they take the person out. If the answer to any of those questions are yes they will need to keep them for 14 days and they must be symptom free before they return to their homes.
If the family has travelled recently, they should be self-isolating, and should not be around their family member. If they insist on seeing their family member or taking them to their home, the person will have to be quarantined at their home for 14 days and be symptom free. This is to protect everyone else who lives and works in a residential home.
Skype, FaceTime, telephone, text are all options. Other option would be to visit thru a window.
