Overview of Supports

Community Living Chatham-Kent is a non-profit charitable organization. In 1955, the agency was started by volunteers and parents of people who have an intellectual disability who wanted to provide community-based alternatives to placing children in institutions and to see their loved ones living in and contributing to the life of the community.

Community Living Chatham-Kent develops innovative and traditional supports for people who have an intellectual disability and their families. Our programs focus on person centred planning, which engages individuals who have an intellectual disability in identifying their work, volunteer, leisure, and recreational interests and goals.

Should you have a child, youth, or adult that you would like to be involved with Community Living Chatham-Kent, please visit their respective webpages by following the navigation to the left of this page. We also offer various family supports as well.

Our Community Supports webpage offers information about employment training, career opportunities and skill development for individuals who have an intellectual disability.
