Making It Happen!
Making It Happen encourages people to acquire the necessary skills and confidence for lifelong learning and growth.This program is designed to assist adults ages 18 - 28 to acquire the skills necessary to make a transition from school to adulthood.
Participants will work with their transition coach, family, friends, and community connections to develop skills to achieve goals and define their independence.
The Making It Happen Program operates from 101 Stewart Street in Chatham.
Planning / Supports Offered
- Your coach will assist you to be creative, to dream, and to identify your goals
- We will help to remove barriers, and look for other choices in order that you can experience successful options
- Planning/supports may include areas such as: building self-confidence and self-esteem, advocacy, speaking out for oneself, skill development, building relationships, and partnerships
- Your coach can also assist with accommodations, recreational activities, medical appointments, and employment options
