Employment Services
Employment Services works in partnership with businesses to develop paying jobs and provide on the job training and support for dedicated and reliable candidates.Through planning, pre-employment training, job search, and job coaching, we help people find jobs that match their desires and skills. These skills will compliment the needs of the employer.
The Employment Services Program operates out of our location at 101 Stewart Street in Chatham and supports individuals throughout the Chatham-Kent area.
Supported Employment
- Abilities and special needs are examined
- Pre-employment training is provided
- Assistance with job searches/interviews, job coaching
- Help to learn to do the job independently with follow-up maintenance supports
- Paid positions and volunteer opportunities are available
Business Community
- Services are free
- We match your needs to the person with the appropriate skills
- A person will be referred to you only if he/she meets job requirements
- After hire, a continuation of support is available
Student Employment
- Partnerships with local high schools, St. Clair College, and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent
- Develop with students the abilities and attitudes that encourage self-determination through career planning
- Summer employment opportunities
- Combination of pre-employment training with a Co-op work placement during the student’s later years of school with the Option’s Program

Library Café
- Operated by Community Living Chatham-Kent
- Fresh baked goodies, treats, and drinks are served at the Public Library - Central Branch

CKCS Cafeteria
- Operated by Community Living Chatham-Kent
- Full cafeteria style service Monday – Friday for the staff of Chatham-Kent Children’s Services, as well as catering for events, and meetings
- Competitive employment opportunity in the food services industry
