The Industrial Department is the largest Sheltered Employment/Training program. The department has a complement of 55 participants under the supervision of 5 full time and 1 part-time staff.
The work environment is reflective of Industrial Standards for safety, quality, and dependability. Recognition as a viable industrial supplier has been established and maintained with business industries in Chatham-Kent and surrounding areas.
Companies rely on scheduled monthly volumes of parts and sub-assemblies processed to meet their production schedules as well as short term demands. The means of these contracts creates a functional need for work which is a vital tool and method of promoting personal and skill development in the workplace.
Through the process of contracts to meet industry requirements, various jobs and responsibilities challenge and motivate skill application and attainment. Abilities of all levels have an opportunity to grow and excel in the work place. Each personal contribution and effort is integral towards successful completion of contracts.
From basic sub-assembly to complex zero tolerance processing, quality control checking, material parts handling, packaging, and finally shipping, productive involvement is catalytic in development of pride, self-esteem and self-worth.
The Industrial Department takes pride in working with both large and small companies and takes delight in their ability to effectively handle large and small volumes to their customer’s satisfaction.

Onbelay Automotive Coatings Corporation - Assembly of parts for vehicle suspension systems
Wolseley - Preparation of gloves for company distribution to various customers
Can Gro Foods - Preparation for relabeling of cans
Metaldyne - Preparation of part needed for the grounding system for Ford vehicles
Meritor - Parts used in Saturn vehicles
Union Gas - Preparing large volume mailings, DVD mailings, rebates, advertising
Chamberlain Press - Preparation of large volume advertizing mailings for local business
Rodger Industries - Parts used in automated machines for milking cows
