Pennies for Change Campaign

Tilbury Tally Terrific!
[March 2009]

The combined effort of St. Joseph Catholic School, Tilbury Area Public School and Wheatley Area Public School raised an outstanding $3,300 through Community Living Chatham-Kent's Pennies for Change Campaign.

The Tilbury project was co-ordinated by Kim Walker of Community Living Chatham-Kent (CLC-K), along side Chirs Lonsbary, Craig Rivard and John Price of the Employment Services Program with CLC-K, worked diligently with principals, at Americo Todino at St. Joseph's, Ken Gregory at Tilbury Area and Chris Moore at Wheatley Area.

Chris Lonsbary commented that,  "it's important to him to be supported by people he's see everyday". Craig Rivard added that, "he lives and works with these people and enjoys knowing that they want to help local groups like Community Living Chatham-Kent". Chris, Craig and John were very helpful in distributing the collection containers as well as gathering the donations and keeping in touch with the various schools.

The top class in the campaign was Mrs. Bunda's Grade 6 class at St. Joseph's, Mrs. Kroeker's Grade 5 class at Tibury Area and Ms. Sacripanti's Grade 7/8 class at Wheatley Area.

A tip of the Community Living Chatham-Kent chapeau to our partners in Tilbury. You are awesome. Also a special note of appreciation to Kim Walker for her commitment, dedication and leadership in helping to make the Tilbury Tally Terrific!
