When is Community Living Month?
May is Community Living Month in Ontario. Each year, Community Living Chatham-Kent hosts various activities across the city to increase awareness of our organization and create a strong unified message of inclusion for people who have an intellectual disability.
Every year Community Living Chatham-Kent celebrates Community Living Month with a number of scheduled events - please join us in the celebration.
2010 Community Living Month
To launch the month, Mayor Randy Hope, will raise the Community Living Chatham-Kent flag on April 30 at the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre at10:00 a.m. Complimentary hotdogs and hamburgers from Schinkels' Meat Market will also be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A number of events, have been planned such as the Community Living Chatham-Kent “Box Lunch” where lunches will be distributed throughout Chatham-Kent to raise funds for programs and services; and, the “Community Living Colours – Art Show” over the course of a week at the Chatham Public Library all in celebration and part of a unifying message of inclusion for people who have an intellectual disability throughout the month of May.
Come and join us on Saturday, June 5, 2010 for a fun day at our 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament - "Lucky 13" is the theme and you can win a trip to LAS VEGAS from our partners at Vellinga's Travel and Cruise Holidays!
