When is Community Living Month?
May is Community Living Month in Ontario. Each year, Community Living Chatham-Kent hosts various activities across the municipality to increase awareness of our organization and create a strong unified message of inclusion for people who have an intellectual disability.
Every year Community Living Chatham-Kent celebrates Community Living Month with a number of scheduled events - please join us in the celebration.
2012 Community Living Month
- This May we have a number of events planned to celebrate!
Flag Raising Ceremony & BBQ – Will take place on Tuesday, May 1st at the Civic Centre. The Flag Raising will take place at 11 am with a charity BBQ to follow. Everyone welcome!
Community Colours Art Show – The art show will be held at the Chatham Public Library the week of May 7 -12 and will feature a variety of artwork done by artists with an intellectual disability.
Community Living 15th Annual Golf Tournament – This year's event will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Countryview Golf Course.
"Discovering dreams …and Connecting Lives” is Community Living Chatham-Kent’s vision, with appreciation we thank Chatham-Kent for your continuous support and encouragement that not only made Community Living Month a celebration of people’s lives and their abilities, but also makes our community welcoming and inclusive every day.
