Pennies for Change Campaign

“Pennies for Change” Penny Jug coming soon to your classroom!

Community Living Chatham-Kent is teaming up with the St. Clair Thames Students Inc. and the students in the St. Clair Options program to coordinate the “Pennies for Change” penny campaign.

For the one week designated to your school in February, students are asked to bring in pennies to fill their classroom’s penny jug. At the end of the week, one classroom per school is declared a winner! The real winners, however, will be the people with an intellectual disability supported by Community Living Chatham-Kent. The pennies will go towards program supplies such as craft supplies, computer equipment or reading material.

This year, there are 18 schools participating from the Public, Catholic and French Catholic School Board from all across Chatham-Kent.

The penny campaign is a fun activity for the schools and a great fundraiser for us. We are thrilled to be partnering with the St. Clair College students again this year. They have a big heart for their community!” Jodi Maroney, Manager, Community Relations and Development for Community Living Chatham-Kent.
