Part-Time Support Workers
The Support Worker is responsible for supporting individuals to live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community and have the opportunity to participate effectively. These supports shall be provided in a manner that promotes the care, welfare, safety, and security of the individuals.
The Support Worker will represent the Agency in a manner that conveys the nature and philosophy of the organization, and promotes the concept of inclusive communities.
Community Living Chatham-Kent is looking for employees who are committed to enabling people to find their place in the community by providing quality supports and services. We are recruiting people who are dedicated to team play, understand commitment, accept responsibility and possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school diploma is required, preference will be given to applicants with a D.S.W. or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of health care procedures and mechanical equipment - wheelchairs, lifts, G-tubes and other specialized equipment an asset. Valid CPR/First Aid and a current criminal reference check.
Hours of Work: Average 24 hours per week
Salary: $16.48 to $17.59 per hour
